Dear PDC Friends and Family,
We hope you and your family are in good health! Our community is going through a lot, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines, which includes caring for your oral health. We are excited to announce that we are now open and ready to welcome our patients back into the office—we've missed you!
Infection control has always been a top priority for Penz Dental Care. Our processes are designed so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the procedures we follow to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We keep tabs on the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance.
You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. For example:
SCREENING QUESTIONS: Our office will contact you before your appointment with some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive for your appointment.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE: To limit the number of people in the waiting room, we ask that you please stay in your car. Text "HERE" to (507) 407-4560 or give us a call to let us know that you have arrived. We will notify you when we are ready for you to come in.
TEMPERATURE READINGS: Before entering the clinic, your temperature will be taken. You will be asked to reschedule your appointment if it is 100.4 or greater.
FACE MASKS: Please wear a face covering to your appointment. If you do not have one available to you, please let us know.
HAND SANITIZER: We will ask you to use the provided hand sanitizer when you enter the office. You will also find some around the office for your use.
RECEPTION AREA: Our reception area will no longer offer magazines, a beverage cart, or children’s activities, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
SCHEDULING: Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We are working to reschedule all patients that had appointments during the closure. Thank you for your patience during this process.
APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION: If you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment, we ask that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
We are available to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 507-258-3300 or request an appointment online.
Thank you for your continued support! We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
Stay well,
Dr. Penz and PDC Team
