Today Olmsted County health officials confirmed the first case of coronavirus in our county. We want to assure you that we are monitoring the situation and following the advice of local, state, and federal health authorities.

While we practice excellent infection control every day, we would like to share some of what we do to keep our office clean.

Standard precautions include:

  1. Practicing proper hand hygiene

  2. Wearing protective equipment like gloves, masks, and eye wear

  3. Following respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette

  4. Assuring safe injection practices

  5. Sterilizing instruments and dental devices

  6. Disinfecting all surfaces between patients

While we love to see you…

If you currently feel sick, please reschedule your dental appointment and call your physician. This is especially true if you have a fever, cough, sneezing, or shortness of breath. The same thing applies if you have had any of these symptoms in the last 48 hours.

Please also reschedule your appointment if you have traveled outside the United States in the last two weeks to an area affected by the coronavirus disease. This includes China, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.

To reschedule an appointment or if you have questions, please call us at (507) 258-3300 or email office@penzdental.com.

Stay healthy everyone!
